Oh, the kindle. Sure I got it for my girlfriend because she loves to read, but the 2 titles that she was looking for are not available, and the magazine she was looking for, also not available. That aside, I’ll tell you what is convenient, it’s sending documents wirelessly to it and reading on it. The e-ink is very readable, and the flexibility and form factor of the device itself is a thing of beauty for a paperless guy like myself. More on the kindle to come.

Not so sure about this device. This device be good for peckers (those who peck at the keyboard) and simple form fills, but quite a challenge for those who type well or use the tablet writing feature. I have found the writing on this device a challenge; I think I will try some more writing with another pen. As I type now, the only real issue, as a person who can type is having to look at the keyboard. Let’s see what the rest of the trip has 2 offer.

Well, tried to shut off finger touch capabilities, and it disabled the pen as well, hmmm maybe I’m doing something wrong. Simple keyboard functions require function keys such as tab, arrows and caps lock. Also some keys are not where they normally are, hmmmm (I’m putting commas everywhere :|). Did I tell you there’s no touchpad, and the pointer is to the right of the screen (kinda odd), or scroll wheel either, you can use the biometric to scroll though J (some tabbys you can use it as a mouse as well, not here).

It appears that my distress about him being behind schedule may have put a pessimistic spin on my last post. While the results were as expected, I found that, when finally engaged by my genious, I was very happy with his knowledge, demeanor, and customer service.Coupled with a charged debate on the status of the phone as a business tool, once again, I left the Apple store quite content.

Thank you Steve for yet another pleasant experience.

So I wrote previously that I had a great paperless purchase from the Mac store, it was truly a great experience. Today I’ve been waiting about 30 minutes over schedule for my genius to tell me the machine has a hard ware issue so they can service it, not so efficient, and so far, a very poor experience.
I hope my genius knows more than me, and can give me some new info on mac-ing out with mac troubleshooting. I will admit, from previous experience that disappoint is in my future :(. We’ll see, and I’ll let you know how it goes.
